LOOK #1: Scarf print playsuit: River Island, Sandals, Cuff bracelet, satchel: All New Look, Head scarf: River Island. LOOK #2 Wedges: Ebay, Clutch bag, jewellery: All Topshop

Like I said the other day, it was a big mistake browsing the River Island website because I ended up lusting after everything for days. Inevitably I whipped out the visa card and bought this amazing scarf print playsuit at a bargainous £18! It’s classed as swimwear technically, like a sort of beach cover up, but I can definitely see this working as a day to night transitional piece! I love the cut out detail at the front; although for me this limits my wear to strictly abroad or on a night out – too much flashing for prime time!

Thought i’d quickly put two looks together on how it could be worn in the day and at night, typically on holiday.

For the day I’ve opted for the trusty and old faithful tan accessories, because they just go with everything! Flat shoes for holiday exploring and a gorgeous bag that’s big enough for all daily essentials; the head scarf is what really brings attention to the fact that this is a casual look (plus it keeps your hair off your face).

The second look transitions the playsuit into club/bar chic. The wedges featured are ones I bought last year from Ebay for less than £20 and haven’t worn yet. They go so well with the pink of the playsuit print so i’ll finally be able to debut them! (nb. wedges are a must on holiday – you can get elongated pins at the same time as being comfy...and you don’t have to sacrifice your feet to the blister gods) For the accessories I’ve gone a tad more glam with gold, because similarly to tan, you can’t really go wrong – they’re both such investment colours. The clutch bag and feather arm cuff are the statement pieces here, they really let on that the look you’re going for is definitely not cas’.

Watch out for upcoming pictures of the playsuit – as soon as it arrives!

Until next time,
